Qualifications, judging registrations and awards

Fitness is an industry where anyone can call themselves a coach, so this page shows the documents rather than describing them. Each entry below appears alongside a photograph of the certificate, card or plaque held at the gym, with the dates transcribed as they are printed.

Where a registration has since lapsed, it says so. An expired card presented as current would cast doubt on the ones that are not.

Registered bodybuilding judge

Brijesh Joshi is a registered judge with the Indian Body Building & Fitness Federation, holding a Category B judge card issued under the Gujarat unit. He previously held a Gujarat State Bodybuilders Association judges card for five years.

This sits alongside his role as President of the Strength Bodybuilding Association South Gujarat, which organises the championships themselves. Judging and organising are separate functions, and he has documentation for both.

Faculty at a fitness training institute

Brijesh Joshi is listed as faculty at the G-KFTI Fitness Training Institute, which runs certificate courses in fitness training, gym management, advance fitness training, first aid and CPR, and supplement awareness. Its head office address is the Katargam gym.

The institute's brochure lists his qualifications as a diploma in fitness training, master trainer of body building, official judge and community member, and membership of the Health and Strength Association Surat and the Strength Bodybuilding Association.

Teaching other trainers is a different signal from holding a certificate. It is also the practical answer to how a gym becomes the place other coaches in the city came through.

Each is consistent with the documented set above, and several appear on the G-KFTI faculty brochure reproduced further up this page, so they are published here. They sit in their own block because the gym does not yet hold a photographed certificate for them, and they are left out of this page's structured data for the same reason. Each one moves up into the documented section on the day a scan arrives.

What is still undocumented

Beyond the block above, two figures on this site rest on Brijesh's own account rather than on paper, and they are marked as such wherever they appear. The number of members trained since 1999 is his estimate. The number of former members who went on to coach professionally has never been counted, which is whythat page carries names rather than a figure.
