What it costs to train at S R Gym

Every rate the gym charges, both branches, on one page. Membership from ₹1,700 a month, personal training from ₹7,000, and a day pass at ₹300 if you only want to look.

A gym that will not print its prices is asking you to walk in before you know what you are walking into. Nothing below needs a phone call first.

Gym membership

Full use of the floor and the equipment at your branch, with coaching on the floor included — that is the ordinary help you get from whoever is on duty, not one-to-one personal training, which is priced further down.

S R Gym membership rates for the Adajan and Katargam branches, by term, with the equivalent monthly rate
Term Adajan Katargam Per month
One month ₹1,700 ₹1,700 —
Three months ₹3,000 ₹3,500 ₹1,000 / ₹1,167
Six months ₹5,000 ₹6,000 ₹833 / ₹1,000
Twelve months ₹9,000 ₹10,000 ₹750 / ₹833
Couple, twelve months ₹16,000 ₹18,000 ₹667 / ₹750 each
Day pass ₹300 ₹300 Per day

The one-month rate is identical at both branches. They diverge from three months on. Katargam is the Ved Road branch. If you are visiting Surat rather than joining, the day pass page has the equipment at each branch and the point at which a month becomes cheaper than paying by the day.

Which term is actually worth taking

The arithmetic is not subtle. At Adajan, twelve months at ₹9,000 is ₹750 a month against ₹1,700 if you pay monthly — you are paying for roughly five months and getting twelve.

That is the argument for the annual rate, and it is also the argument against it, because it only pays off if you keep turning up. The people who lose money here are the ones who buy twelve months in January on the strength of the discount and stop coming in March. If you have never held a gym habit before, take one month, prove to yourself that you arrive four times a week, then buy the year with evidence rather than optimism. The gym loses a little money on that advice and it is still the right advice.

Three and six months sit in between and exist for people who know their own pattern: a student home for a term, somebody with a posting that moves them in the summer, a wedding in five months. There is a fuller walkthrough of the decision on the membership page, and if you are still weighing this gym against a cheaper one, the budget gym comparison is more use than any figure on this page.

Personal training

One-to-one coaching: your programme written for you, your form watched set by set, your food adjusted as you go.

Personal training is charged on top of gym membership.

It is not an alternative to membership and it does not include the floor. A month of one-to-one work with Brijesh Joshi is ₹10,000 for the coaching, plus your membership.

Personal training rates at S R Gym by coach and term, with the equivalent monthly rate
Who coaches One month Three months Per month over three
With Brijesh Joshi The coach who runs both branches. ₹10,000 ₹28,000 ₹9,333
With a gym trainer One of the trainers Brijesh employs and trains. ₹7,000 ₹18,000 ₹6,000
Two people together One coach, two of you. Priced for the pair. ₹12,000 ₹30,000 ₹10,000 ₹5,000 each

Online coaching is priced separately below and does not require a membership, because there is no floor to use.

Bring somebody and it costs each of you less

Two people trained together is ₹12,000 a month for the pair, which is ₹6,000 each. One person training alone with a gym trainer is ₹7,000. So training with your husband, your sister or a colleague is cheaper per head than training by yourself, and over three months it is ₹5,000 each against ₹6,000.

That is not a gimmick, it is what one coach's hour divided by two people actually costs. It comes with a real trade-off: you get half the attention, you train on somebody else's schedule, and if your partner stops coming after five weeks you are paying pair rates for solo sessions. It works best for two people at a similar level who already keep the same hours. More on that on the couples page.

What the two grades of trainer mean

Brijesh calls his trainers adhyapak and himself acharya — teacher and master, in the old sense. It is not marketing language dressed up; it is the distinction between somebody he has trained to coach a floor and twenty-seven years of doing it. The ₹3,000 a month between them is what that difference is priced at.

Most people do not need the dearer one. A trainer on the floor who watches your form and holds you to a programme covers what a beginner needs. The case for coaching with Brijesh himself is a competition, a medical complication, or a long history of starting and stopping — and if you are not sure you need a coach at all, personal training against a membership sets out who the extra fee is worth it for. And if you want to check the coaching itself rather than take it on trust, the credentials checklist sets out what to ask, with his own record put through it.

Online coaching and diet plans

Online coaching and diet plan rates at S R Gym
Online coaching 8 coached sessions a month, wherever you are ₹6,000 a month about $63 · ₹750 a session
Diet plan Built from photographs of what you actually eat ₹1,500

The online rate is the same whether you are in Surat, in Delhi or in the United States, and the dollar figure is approximate because the exchange rate moves and this page does not. There is no membership to add, because there is no floor to use. What it involves is on the online coaching page.

A diet plan on its own is ₹1,500. Nobody gets a printed chart off a template: it starts with three days of photographs of your own meals, because a plan built around food you do not eat is a plan you will abandon in a fortnight. Food work is also included inside personal training rather than charged again on top. The diet plan page explains the method.

For specific situations

The same rates, set out for particular readers: personal training in Adajan and in Katargam with the all-in cost, corporate membership on one bill, teenagers from 14, and online coaching for Indians abroad.

How to pay

By UPI, bank transfer or card, for membership, personal training, online coaching, the diet plan and the day pass alike. Members can also switch between the Adajan and Katargam branches, free of charge.

What is not on this page

No supplements. Neither branch sells protein powder, creatine or anything else, so no part of your bill is a product margin and nobody has a reason to recommend you something you do not need.

No joining fee is published, which is not the same as promising there is none. Ask on +91 98790 69960 before you join. This page prints the rates the gym publishes and nothing that has not been confirmed.

Competition entry fees are not ours to quote. Federation registration and entry are set by the association and they change, so you get pointed at the current circular rather than a figure that goes stale. That is covered in the competitions guide.

Rates change. These are current as of September 2026. If you are reading this much later, +91 98790 69960 is the version that cannot go out of date.

Questions about the fees

How much does S R Gym cost per month?
Gym membership is ₹1,700 for one month at either branch. Paying for longer brings it down: twelve months at Adajan is ₹9,000, which works out at ₹750 a month. Katargam is ₹10,000 for twelve months, or ₹833 a month. Personal training is charged separately and starts at ₹7,000 a month.
Does personal training include gym membership?
No. Personal training is charged on top of a gym membership, not instead of one. So a month of one-to-one training with Brijesh Joshi is ₹10,000 for the coaching plus ₹1,700 for the floor if you are on a monthly membership. This is stated plainly here because finding it out at the counter is how people end up feeling misled.
Why does Katargam cost more than Adajan?
The one-month rate is the same at both, ₹1,700. Beyond that Katargam is dearer: ₹3,500 against ₹3,000 for three months, and ₹10,000 against ₹9,000 for twelve. Call +91 98790 69960 if you want the reasoning for your own case; the honest short version is that the two floors are not identical and the pricing follows.
Is there a couple or family membership at S R Gym?
Yes. ₹16,000 at Adajan and ₹18,000 at Katargam covers twelve months for two people. At Adajan that is ₹667 per person per month, against ₹9,000 each if you joined separately.
Can I train at S R Gym for one day?
Yes. A guest day pass is ₹300. That is the right option if you are visiting Surat, or if you want to see the floor at a busy hour before committing to anything.
How much is online personal training with Brijesh Joshi?
₹6,000 a month, which is about $63, for 8 coached sessions. That works out at ₹750 a session. It is the same rate whether you are in Surat, elsewhere in India, or abroad.
Do you sell supplements or charge a joining fee?
No supplements are sold at either branch, so nothing gets added to your bill that way. On a joining fee, ask on +91 98790 69960 before you join rather than assuming from a website; this page states the rates the gym publishes and nothing beyond them.
