A day pass at S R Gym, ₹300
One day on the floor at either branch in Surat. No membership, no joining form, no booking. Pay at the desk and train.
This page is written for somebody passing through the city rather than somebody choosing a gym, so it leads with the things a visiting lifter actually needs: what is on the floor, when the doors open, and how to find the place.

If you are here for more than 5 days, do not buy day passes
6 day passes come to ₹1,800. A one-month membership is ₹1,700, at either branch, and it does not care how many days you use it for.
So the day pass is the right purchase for one, two, three or four days in Surat. From about the 6th day onward you are paying more for less, and you should ask for the month instead. Nobody at the desk will volunteer that while you are handing over ₹300 a day, which is exactly why it is written here.
A month also gets you the thing the day pass does not, which is somebody watching how you lift and correcting it. Coaching on the floor is included in a membership here rather than sold on top, and it is most of what separates this place from a room with equipment in it. The full card is on the fees page.
Who the day pass suits
Visitors to Surat. Here for work, for a wedding, or staying with family, and you do not want to lose three weeks of training. Bring your own programme and get on with it. If you live abroad and want coaching between visits, online coaching for NRIs carries on from home.
People whose own gym is shut. A closure, a renovation, a festival week. ₹300 a day for a fortnight is a bad deal, but for two or three sessions it is the simplest thing.
Competitors training away from home. If you are preparing for a show and passing through, say so when you arrive. Brijesh judges at zone, state and national level and is President of the association that runs this region's championships, so the conversation will be a short one and possibly useful. There is more on the competitions guide.
Who it does not suit
Anybody deciding whether to join. This is the honest one. A single unsupervised hour on an unfamiliar floor tells you almost nothing about how a gym coaches, which is the thing you are actually trying to find out. Come and watch a session run instead — that costs nothing, and what a first visit involves is written out in full.
Complete beginners. If you have not trained before, a day on a floor by yourself is not a good first experience and it is not a fair test of anything. Starting from nothing is a different page and a different conversation.
Anyone with an injury or a condition a doctor is managing. One day is not enough time for anybody here to learn what you should and should not be doing. Speak to your doctor, and if you are in Surat longer term, coming back after an injury is handled properly rather than in an hour.

Katargam is on Ved Road near Singanpor Char Rasta and opens at 5am, which makes it the easier one if you are training before a working day. Adajan is on the other side of the river and opens at 6am.

Day pass questions
- Does S R Gym have a day pass?
- Yes. A guest day pass is ₹300 for the day at either the Adajan or the Katargam branch in Surat. It covers the full floor and the equipment for that day, the same as a member gets. Pay at the desk when you arrive, by UPI, bank transfer or card; there is nothing to book in advance.
- How much is a one day gym pass in Surat?
- At S R Gym it is ₹300. Rates elsewhere in Surat vary and some gyms do not sell single days at all, so it is worth ringing ahead anywhere you are considering. If you are in the city for more than 5 days, a one-month membership at ₹1,700 costs less than the passes would.
- Can I use a gym in Surat without a membership?
- Yes, on a day pass. You do not need a membership, a joining form or a contract to train here for a day. Bring flat-soled shoes and something you can squat in, and arrive during opening hours: Katargam from 5am, Adajan from 6am, both until 10pm, Monday to Saturday. Both branches are closed on Sunday.
- Is a day pass a good way to decide whether to join?
- Not really, and I would rather say so. One unsupervised hour tells you very little about how a gym coaches. If you are deciding rather than visiting, come and stand in the room while a session is running and ask whatever you want — that costs nothing and shows you more than ₹300 of floor time would.
- Do I need to book a day pass in advance?
- No. Turn up during opening hours and pay at the desk. If you want to be sure Brijesh is on the floor when you come, message +91 98790 69960 first and he will tell you which branch he is coaching at that hour.
- What is included in the day pass?
- The full training floor, the free weights, the machines and the cardio at whichever branch you use. Every session here opens with yoga and the twelve positions of Surya Namaskar, and you are welcome to join that or to skip straight to your own programme. No supplements are sold at either branch, so nothing gets added to the ₹300.
